Production Technology

New breath in the old house! During keeping the original structure systems and outward, techniques as reprint, handmade, reflection, to reborn the old house textured and warmly, reflecting the history and giving new birth from generations. Textured hexagon tiles, retro tile mosaic, carve plastic tiles, special painting technique are chosen to use, also copper strip and cast iron against culture heritage base. Mist gold grid, retro glass, glass chandelier with warm white light; glossy marble table, downing chair and curtain are collocating as outstanding highlight.

Design Challenge

This building was built in 1949 and once was Xu Baiyuan’s house, former president of the central bank. Xu Baiyuan, was an important figure to the rectification of Taiwan’s economy and made an important establishment of the monetary system in the 1950s. His official residence is a typical Japanese style wooden building at age of 70 which located at the Qingguang commercial area and close to third section of Xinsheng North Road. Deputy Chief of the US Army Advisory Group Chase, Flying Tigers General Chennault, Chen Xiangmei and his wife, Shanxi Province Chairman Yan Xishan, Li Gan, Chen Jiheng, Zhou Xianzhong and other eight old houses are all on the same street. When city developed, those beautiful houses that witness history are almost decayed. However, the Culture Movement of Taipei City’s Old Houses brings back the former President’s house, which is the only remaining house on this street. After years of devoting, Xu Baiyuan’s own residence was completely reborn as "CEO 1950 President Art Space"!
